Data Snapshot: Net Fraud Losses as a % of Total Sales

Throughout the pandemic, overall net fraud rates have remained flat to low. However, the share of card-not-present (CNP) fraud has increased due to the major shift in spending habits during the pandemic. Decline rates have normalized after an increase in the earlier part of the COVID-19 pandemic as overall sales volumes continue to recover each month, according to Auriemma’s Card Fraud Control Roundtable data.
